Faith

Faith is defined as: believing in something so strongly and with such conviction that it becomes reality by the believer's own will. To believe in something without a shred of doubt in your mind. To not question the existence, possibility or probability of something or someone.

There are many examples of the power of faith in our own society all though those examples are being destroyed in front of our eyes so that we have nothing to believe in, nothing to hope for, and nothing to strike resistance in us when a crisis occurs. Some of these examples are as follows:

Hypnotism: there have been studies where a patient was hypnotized and was then made to believe under hypnosis that they were being burned on the arm by something unharmful such as a roll of tape. They were told that the tape was actually a red hot element or something of the sort, and were then "burned with it". What resulted was astonishing....the subject's body BELIEVING without any doubt that it was being burned, began to swell very quickly and withing seconds there was a massive burn in a lump on the subject's skin. They were then told as they screemed in pain that a "burn healing towel" was just invented and they were about to get a treatment from this towel that could heal all burns instantly. They placed a wet towel on the subject's burn and within seconds again the burn healed itself and there were no marks to be seen within minutes.

Prayer: the power of prayer lies within the the belief or rather the lack of doubt of the individual requesting the help. There have been studies done where religeons were tested to see if prayer was stronger in some religeons than in others. thier results implicated that almost 50% of prayers were answered regaurdless of the request and varried in percentage by religeon.

I don't have these stats available but they are out there. Happy hunting.

Magic: most magic we see today is merley trickery as we all know. But maybe it has become trickery because those preforming the tricks have stopped believing in the ability of a human being to do magic. There are many reports of ancient magicians doing extrordinary things like lifting trees fallen on people that are beyond the strenght of 300 men.

If you've ever seen 911 emergency response w/ Shatner back in the 90's.

There was one episode i remember in particular: a helicopter crashed in a remote farming area and the farmer (i think he was a farmer), must have wheighed over 300 lbs and looked very out of shape. He was running over to the crash and noticed that one of the passengers had become trapped under the weight of the hellicopter. This copter must have weighed over 2000 lbs. but the farmer was not thinking of the weight. All that was in his mind was that someone needed his help and he was going to help them. He never once DOUBTED the fact that he could help the victim. He then proceeded to lift the craft over 2 and a half feet in the air freeing the victim. Later when the wreckage was being righted from its sideways position, it took 9 people to lift the craft and they struggled even with all of them helping including the farmer again to right it. 

There are many many stories of humans doing things they were incapable of in the time of need and the reason they could do these wonderous things is they were not thinking about how they shouldnt be able to or the weight of this is too heavy to lift. These things never cross their minds and that is why they are able to go beyond the bounds of human limitations.
